The procedures of the administrative investigation tasks in Turkey are initiated by the authorized units regarding the attitudes or actions of education personnel against the legislation due to the results of the inspection process in schools or depending on the complaints about these issues. Such tasks within the Turkish educational organizations are primarily carried out by the general education inspectors at ministerial level. However, in case the number of ministerial educational inspectors is insufficient, these tasks in the district and provincial educational organizations can be carried out by the school managers as well. The school managers while fulfilling these tasks are to cope with various problems due to lack of knowledge of legislation, having familiarity and collegiality with the persons under investigation, lack of time, thus they may hinder their main managerial duties at school. The current study aims to examine the problems of school managers while fulfilling these administrative investigation tasks, and to offer solutions for these problems. The research was carried out within the framework of simultaneous transformational mixed research design in which qualitative and quantitative data are simultaneously collected and holistically evaluated. The research was carried out with a sample group of 301 school managers in the province of Hatay / Turkey. The research results reveal that having familiarity and collegiality with investigated persons damage the social relations of school managers and disorder organizational peace; they have difficulty in making objective decision-making and evaluating the legal dimension of administrative investigation issues, therefore, they need in-service training; the administrative investigation tasks increase their workload and hinder other management tasks at school; the school managers demand that the administrative investigation tasks should be carried out by education experts in this field like inspectors, lawyers, and commissions, other than school managers.
