Peer Review Policy

International Journal of Education Technology and Scientific Researches (IJETSR)

Peer review is a core component of the publication process at the International Journal of Education Technology and Scientific Researches (IJETSR). It ensures the quality, credibility, and academic integrity of the research published in the journal. The journal is committed to maintaining a transparent, fair, and rigorous review process that supports high scholarly standards.

Review Model

IJETSR adopts a double-blind peer review system in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the evaluation process. This approach ensures that manuscripts are assessed objectively and solely on the basis of their academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

Submission and Initial Assessment

All manuscripts are submitted through the journal’s online submission system. At the time of submission, authors must confirm that their work is original, has not been previously published, and is not under consideration by any other journal.

Each submission undergoes an initial editorial screening to assess its suitability for the journal in terms of scope, quality, formatting, and compliance with ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected or returned to the authors for correction without proceeding to external peer review.

External Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are assigned to independent reviewers who possess relevant expertise in the subject area. Typically, each manuscript is evaluated by at least two reviewers to ensure a balanced and informed assessment.

Reviewers are expected to evaluate the manuscript based on its originality, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, validity of results, and contribution to the field. The selection of reviewers is carried out carefully to ensure subject relevance and to avoid any conflicts of interest.

Role of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, and timely feedback that contributes to the improvement of the manuscript. All materials received for review must be treated as confidential and must not be shared, discussed, or used for personal advantage. Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline to review manuscripts where impartiality cannot be ensured.

Editorial Decisions

Editorial decisions are made based on the reviewers’ reports and the independent judgment of the editorial team. Possible decisions include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. Authors are provided with anonymized reviewer comments along with editorial guidance to support revisions where applicable.

Revisions and Resubmission

When revisions are requested, authors must address all reviewer comments clearly and systematically. A revised manuscript should be accompanied by a detailed response explaining how each comment has been addressed. Depending on the extent of revisions, the manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation.

Appeals

Authors who believe that a decision has been made based on a misunderstanding or factual error may submit a formal appeal to the editorial office. Appeals are reviewed independently, and the final decision will be communicated to the authors after careful consideration.

Ethical Standards in Peer Review

The journal upholds strict ethical standards throughout the peer review process. All submissions are screened for plagiarism and potential ethical concerns. Any issues related to research integrity, authorship, or publication ethics are handled in accordance with the journal’s policies and established ethical guidelines.

IJETSR follows internationally recognized standards, including those recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), to ensure responsible and ethical peer review practices.
