PROBLEM ÇÖZME: LİTERATÜR İNCELEMESİ

This research was conducted with the aim of examining the studies on Mathematical Problem Solving in Primary Schools and evaluations of those studies. Thirty-two studies have been evaluated in in Turkey and they were done with primary school students’ mathematical problem-solving skills. Most of the work were composed of master thesis, essays and three of them were doctoral theses. It is seen that the most publications were existed in 2016 year. In the studies, both quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods were used. While the majority of the studies carried out before the 2012-2013 education year with the fourth and fifth classes, it is seen that the studies were done after the 4 + 4 + 4 system with the fourth grades. When the studies are examined, it is seen that some studies are concentrated on "determination of relations with problem solving success", "determination of opinions related to problem solving" and "examination of problem solving skill and its process". However, studies are interested in the applications to see which the problem solving strategies are essential. This work will be beneficial to examining the deficiencies in the field and improving the solution proposal.
