This study sets out to test the hypothesis that the motivation provided by the teaching materials used in the Turkish language and literature lessons conducted over the Education Information Network (EBA) in Turkey during COVID-19 predicts the attitude toward the lesson. With this primary purpose, the current study examines the effect of students’ motivation from materials on their attitudes toward the course in Turkish language and literature classes carried out with distance education. The correlational survey, among quantitative methods, is used in the study. The data has been collected from 483 students taking the Turkish language and literature course through distance education and with Instructional Materials Motivation Survey (IMMS) and Attitudes Toward Turkish Literature Course Scale (ATTLCS). In addition, Pearson Correlation and Multiple Linear Regression analysis have been used in the data analysis. The analyses have resulted that the students have a medium-level motivation and high-level attitude toward the Turkish language and literature course conducted through distance education. It has also been determined that the motivation from the materials used in the Turkish language and literature course is the significant predictor of attitude toward the lesson in the satisfaction, relevance, and trust subdimensions.

Bu çalışmanın amacı COVİD 19 sürecinde Türkiye’de Eğitim Bilişim Ağı (EBA) üzerinden yürütülen Türk dili ve edebiyatı derslerinde kullanılan öğretim materyallerinin öğrencilere sağladığı motivasyon düzeyinin derse yönelik tutumun bir yordayıcısı olduğu hipotezini test etmektir. Bu temel amaç doğrultusunda çalışmada uzaktan eğitimle yürütülen Türk dili ve edebiyatı derslerinde öğrencilerin materyallerden kaynaklı motivasyonlarının derse yönelik tutum üzerinde ne düzeyde bir etkisinin olduğu incelenmiştir. Çalışmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama deseni kullanılmıştır. Veriler Öğretim Materyaline Yönelik Motivasyon Ölçeği (ÖMMÖ) ve Türk Edebiyatı Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği (TEDYTÖ) ile Erzurum ilinde uzaktan eğitimle yürütülen Türk dili ve edebiyatı derslerine katılan 483 öğrenciden toplanmıştır. Veriler analiz edilirken Pearson Korelasyon ve Çoklu Doğrusal Regresyon analizlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler neticesinde öğrencilerin uzaktan eğitimle yürütülen Türk dili ve edebiyatı derslerindeki materyalllere yönelik orta düzey bir motivasyon ile derse yönelik yüksek düzeyde bir tutuma sahip oldukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca Türk dili ve edebiyatı derslerinde kullanılan materyallere yönelik motivasyonun memnuniyet, uygunluk ve güven alt boyutlarında derse yönelik tutumun anlamlı yordayıcıları olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
