The aim of this study is to examine Covid-19 fear levels of individuals engaged in team and individual sports in terms of some socio-demographic characteristics. Population of the study consists of individuals engaged in team and individual sports. Sample of the study consists of 218 athletes selected by random sampling method among the athletes engaged in individual and team sports. “Personal Information Form” developed by the researchers and Covid-19 Fear Scale adapted into Turkish by Haktanır et al. (2020) were used as data collection tools. All statistical calculations were made in SPSS 22.0 V statistical package program. A significant difference was found between the total score of Fear of Covid-19 Scale in terms of gender, alcohol use status, vaccination status and the sports discipline of the participants. No significant relationship was found between the age and sports age of the participants and the total score of Fear of Covid-19 Scale.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, takım ve bireysel sporla uğraşan bireylerin Covid-19 korkusu düzeylerini bazı sosyo-demografik özellikler açısından incelemektir. Araştırmanın evreni, takım ve bireysel sporla uğraşan bireyler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise, bireysel ve takım sporuyla uğraşan sporcular arasından tesadüfi örneklem yöntemi ile seçilen 218 sporcu oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ile Haktanır ve ark (2020) tarafından Türkçe’ye uyarlanan Covid-19 Korkusu Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Tüm istatistiksel hesaplamalar SPSS 22.0 V istatistik paket programda yapılmıştır. Yapılan araştırmada katılımcıların cinsiyet, alkol kullanım durumu, aşılanma durumu ve ilgilendiği spor branşına göre Covid-19 Korkusu ölçek toplam puanı arasında anlamlı bir farklılık belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada, katılımcıların yaşı ve spor yaşı ile Covid-19 Korkusu Ölçeği toplam puanı arasında anlamlı bir ilişki tespit edilememiştir.
